Michael began his professional career with Royal Bank of Canada Wealth Management in May of 2014 in their 401(k) management group out of the San Francisco Office. Michael developed strong service, operational, and leadership skills interacting with unions, providing investment education, and helping administer key components of the 401(k). He managed many administrative functions such as loans requests, distributions, and changing allocations. This led to Michael applying to join New York Life after two years to help grow his leadership skills and become more familiar with business operations.
Michael joined New York Life in May 2016 as an Associate Operations Manager in Portland, Oregon as a part of the Operations Management Training Program. After 1 year in the program, Michael was relocated to the Southern California General Office to finish the second year of training, and was promoted to an Operations Manager in early 2018 in the same location. Michael oversaw the development and services provided by the Client Onboarding Team who helped the office achieve several national production trophies during the four years he spent as a member of the management team.
In 2022, Michael was promoted to Corporate Vice President – Director of Operations of the Los Angeles General Office. Michael now leads the new business and agency administration service teams and works closely with agents, managers, consultants, sales personnel to ensure business continuity, efficiency, and the fastest application turn around times possible to improve the client experience.
In his spare time, Michael travels abroad with his girlfriend Ashley and enjoys volunteering for non-profits targeted to the well being of members of the Down Syndrome community. Michael resides in the West Side of Los Angeles and has been a member of the New York Life family since birth; as his father was a managing partner for 27 years, and an agent for 5 years prior to his promotion to management.
